Hans HiScore at GamePlaces

On November 21st two representatives of Hans HiScore attended the periodic GamePlaces event in Frankfurt, Germany. This come together of the local game developer scene is always a good place to exchange ideas and opinions about music in games. We have been attending this event series since the founding of our company in 2006 and we recommend it to anyone working in the game business around the Rhein-Main area. The topic of the November GamePlaces was "phenomenon MMOG". We could listen to some interesting presentations about today's and future MMOGs. MMOGs are an exciting field for game music and offer vast possibilities: "always on", large amount of simultanous player, virtual economies... . Since we always had an eye on this genre when it comes to music, these GamePlaces strengthened our belief in MMOGs as an important research topic for the game music of the future. If you want to know more about the event: Max has written a nice article at the gamearea blog (unfortunately only in German). The next GamePlaces will be held on February 27, 2008 (about mobile gaming). We would be glad to meet some of you there.
