A Perfect Sunday

Movie
March 2008

A comedy action short movie by Patrick Thomas filmed in Germany and Austria.

Challenge:
This movie demanded a fun soundtrack, which sets the mood and adds hidden story information for the viewer. The plot had to be emphasized and clarified by supporting music. Thoughts of the characters and story parts not explicitly shown had to be transported by the music.
Solution:
The basic style of this soundtrack roots in the psychedelic music styles of the 1960s and 1970s. Guitars as played by the Rolling Stones and effects typical for "LSD music" were used to convey the theme of the movie. The main character received his own sound motive to make him easily recognizable and to let the viewer experience his feelings. Additionally, music in other genres (ambient, metal, urban) was produced for specific scenes.
