Scorched 3D is a game based [...] on the classic DOS game Scorched Earth "The Mother Of All Games". Scorched 3D adds amongst other new features a 3D island environment and LAN and internet play. Scorched 3D is totally free and is available for both Microsoft Windows and Unix (Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris etc.) operating systems.

Challenge: 
This RTS combat game demanded a soundtrack further intensifying its cold and dark atmosphere. The soundtrack should be military in style and bring out the dark and technical aspect of Scorched 3D. Several different tracks and moods were needed for various states of the game.
Solution: 
We composed a main theme plus three additional tracks all supporting the desired mood. Blending real instruments (like a singer and marching drums) with computer generated sounds created a unique soundtrack. Adding effects like radio calls to the mix further deepened the immersion of the player.
